Yesterday we spent another day at ABT but this time to photograph the new range of dancewear.
We had a number of the students from the day before plus some extra girls and boys and they were all so good and so patient and very easy to work with.
Andrew ran the “show” working with Franco to ensure the garments and the students were shown off to their best advantage for our wonderful and tireless photographer to shoot. Kate and I were behind the scenes doing hair and makeup with the students and making sure they all looked gorgeous.
It was a fantastic team effort and I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and support.
Now Andrew has the unenviable task of sifting through the many hundreds of shots for the images we will use in the catalogue and on the web site.
Here is Franco on set with one of the girls correcting her position.
We have had a wonderful day today at 890 Broadway which is the home of American Ballet Theatre and their school. 15 delightful young students modelled the new range of girls and boys outfits in 13 new and vibrant colours.
The 75 teachers who were at ABT for a week of intensive training were thrilled to see the unveiling of this fabulous new range which is available to pre order now and will be in stock from April. They loved the new colours, new fabric and new styles and were all talking excitedly about how they could also use the garments for recitals.
Rachel Moore, CEO of ABT introduced Andrew and I and then the delightful models joined us to show off all the colours and styles.
Here Ian, Andrew and I are joined by Rachel Moore and Franco De Vita and all our models.
Once again we are packing our bags and heading off to New York!
Ian, Andrew, Kate and I are off to American Ballet Theatre to launch the brand new uniform for their Academy training program.
We will be launching a fabulous range of girls and boys leotards, skirts and shorts in a wonderful new colour range.
Look out for pictures next week!
IDS have been on the road again. This time we started in Wigan on Tuesday 8th February, where Allison and Ami met many customers all planning for their up coming shows or just wanting to see the new lines getting ideas ready for their next show. The venue was superb, set in beautiful grounds surrounded by a lake, very inspirational. A very enjoyable day was had by most as we have had some great responses.
Our Driver Hugh then took the van up to Aberdeen where Kate and Ami joined him to set up for the Friday’s show. We exhibit at the same hotel every year and it is very popular each time. Joined by Andrew and Jonathan, we then hosted a cocktail party for the UKA Highland Gathering, 82 customers got the chance to view our products and talk to a member of the team, whilst enjoying a relaxed evening with their President Anne Green.
We then stayed on to exhibit as part of the UKA conference, where Ami also member of the UKA took part in some of the fantastic dance lectures and seminars.
A very successful week. Here’s to the next.
What a great day we had in a very sunny Wigan for the opening event of our roadshow.
It was lovely to see some familiar faces, as well as meeting lots of people for the first time. We were given some lovely comments about the service that we provide and many who attended were very interested in our exciting new International Dance Teacher Conference which is being held in August at The Royal Ballet School.
Everyone was really excited to see all the new products from this year’s catalogue and said how nice it was to actually be able to see what good quality and value they are! A fun day was had by all and we hope that we will see you again at future events.
Yesterday saw myself, Ian, Andrew, Kate and Ami at the IDTA London meeting to launch their new recommended uniform. There is a selection of IDTA logoed leotards, skirts and tights suitable for all theatre branches as well as jazz pants and T shirts for all ages and branches.
We had four delightful models who helped us present to both the theatre and ballroom events. Here they are with their teacher Amand Restill.
IDS is delighted to have been given the opportunity to supply this recommended uniform to IDTA teachers world wide and woukd like to thank all teachers for the great respnse to the launch. The new range is in stock now. Look at www.ids.co.uk for more details.
